Vincent Boyko
Vince was born in Montreal in 1943 and shortly thereafter his parents moved to Saskatchewan and then Winnipeg Manitoba. They moved to Toronto the same year hurricane hazel hit the city. Vince studied art for four years at Central Tech High School. He then proceeded to work in the graphic design community for the next 42 years. During that time he developed strong design communication abilities and invaluable packaging and corporate communications experience. He developed his creative talent in the corporate world. During his many years in the design field Vince had the opportunity to experiment with colour and graphics. His years developing creative design solutions to sell products, images and ideas gave him the experience needed to move into the next phase of his creative expression. In September 2007 Vince decided it was time to do something different with his life and started painting. A few months later he sold his partnership in a design company and devoted more time to his new creative venture. Vince has found inspiration in his garden and in nature. He loves to spend time in natural settings and has always been fascinated by rocks, plants, fungi and all the textures and colours found in the natural world. Some of his paintings are multi-dimensional with a unique mixture of textures, colour and in some cases natural elements such as stones or shells are incorporated into his work. Vince has been devoting a lot of time to photography, his other passion. His painting style ranges from abstract to semi-abstract with very diverse subject matter.
