Geoff Farnsworth........IMAGES..1 - 2 - 3
Geoff began his art training in Vancouver at Emily Carr, The Federation of Canadian Artists, and Capilano College. Influential artist and teacher Kiff Holland urged him to move to New York City to attend the Art Students League in Manhattan. Here he trained from 1997 to 2002 by working full-time from the human model before experimenting in new directions under abstract painters William Scharf and Frank O’Cain. Over the next five years Geoff lived and painted in Toronto where he is still represented by Canvas Gallery and Muse Gallery. At the beginning of 2007, he moved with his fiancé to Thunder Bay to raise a family. Here he is excited to paint on the beautiful north shore of Lake Superior where so many other Canadian artists, including the Group of Seven have found inspiration. His paintings have been shown in Vancouver, Toronto, New York, Washington DC, Minneapolis, and Stockholm, Sweden.
