Susan Gosevitz is a Toronto based visual artist painting the Canadian landscape fromthe perspective of true attention to detail in images that are serene and calm inviting theviewer into the sceneís gentility to be as one with nature. ìI see art as a collaboration with nature. Together we create the real and sublime in one, providing a return from hectic and stress, from consumption and chaos, to meditative simplicity.î Inspired by lifeís cycles and the inner beauty found in nature, Susan paints scenes of natural moments to wake up, to calm and to bring a sense of peace.

Susan paints in oils and acrylics and uses a limited palette to create scenes that evoke a feeling of serenity. Subject matter is simplified eliminating all unnecessary information.ìI like to capture the moment directly on the canvas so that the process of working everything out becomes part of the painting. Nature in all its metaphor then comes to life through how I perceive it.

Susan Gosevitz is an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA) and is a graduate of the Toronto School of Art. She has studied at The Haliburton School of Arts and is a former student of Canadian Wildlife Artist Robert Bateman. Susan has been exhibiting her work since 2005 and has held two solo exhibitions. She currently paints with a group of artists in Muskoka who have illustrated two books. Chucky The Lonely Inukshuk in 2009 and Larry The Loon in 2011. Published and commissioned works can be found in North America.
